It's September!!!!!

We can't wait to welcome you all to Southbroom St James Academy this Thursday.  We have been hard at work to get the classroom ready, please see the pictures below so you know what our classroom looks like.

If you or your mums/ dads have any questions before Thursday please email armstrong@southbroomstjames.dsat.org.uk and I'll try to answer them.

We hope you are excited to be joining us and don't worry if you are a little nervous, that is totally normal.

Welcome to all the new Armstrong children.  It was lovely to see so many of you this morning on our Zoom meeting.  I hope you enjoyed the meeting if you took part, if you didn’t manage to join us or need a reminder of the activities then they are recorded below.

Scavenger Hunt challenge, can you find/make/write about:

  •  Something they you are proud of

This could be an award you’ve earn't, a challenge you did or something you have learnt recently.

  •  Favourite character from a book

Who is your favourite character and why? We would love to see a drawing or fact file about them. Can you explain to us what it is about that character that you enjoy so much?

Questions about September

There will also be the chance to ask questions that you have about September, so have a think if there is anything you would like to know and we will do our best to answer them all.

We will see you tomorrow (21st July) where you will have the opportunity to share your findings. There will also be the chance to meet Mrs Gibbs, Armstrong Class teaching assistant, who will be supporting you all in Year 3.

Holiday activities

To keep you busy we have created a bingo sheet full of ideas for your summer holidays. We would love you to be as creative as you can when completing the challenges, they are meant to be a fun way to learn new things or practice what you know already. We will be checking the class email every week so feel free to send us pictures of what you have been up to.
