Seacole class have had a fantastic week, earning themselves lots of marbles in the jar. Everyone has really enjoyed maths this week, we have been measuring carefully and investigating how to find the perimeter. All children have worked hard to challenge and push themselves in their learning, which has been great to see!
In English, Ug wrote us a letter and we wrote him one back to tell him all about how life has changed since the Stone Age. We focused on using conjunctions to explain and also we have been learning to spell homophones.
It was harvest festival this week, and Seacole class have made their own harvest crowns. The children went on a hunt in the school grounds for the most beautiful and interesting leaves they could find and then used them to decorate crowns. We discussed the importance of celebrating harvest and giving food to those who are most in need and some children wrote some beautiful harvest prayers. We will have another chance to wear our crowns when we visit the church on Monday!
