W/C 6th November 2017
To start the week off, in English, we have been looking at using headings and sub-headings to organise our writing. We retrieved facts from non-fiction books about the Stone Age and used this information to create an information leaflet about the Stone Age using headings and sub-headings to set out our work. We ended the week by looking at prepositions and how they are used in our writing.
In Maths, we have been focussing on division and methods we can use to do this. We started the week of by doing jumps on a numberline to help use divide and by the end of the week children where able to use known multiplication facts to do big chunk jumps on the numberline to help them divide.
In Armstrong class we are still thoroughly enjoying our art, music and french lessons we have Tuesday afternoons and it is wonderful to see the children excited and ready to learn during these lessons.
We have also been practicing our class assembly this week ready for our assembly next week. The children are really looking forward to performing their assembly to you all on Wednesday 15th November at 2:15pm.
