Our First Week in Armstrong Class W/C 4th September 2017
This week Armstrong Class have been focusing on the story 'They Day the Crayons Quit' in English and been looking at all four operations in Maths.
In English the children have looked at portraying emotions and how conjunctions are used to persuade. They have then written letters back to their crayons persuading them to come back home as they need them!
In Maths we have looked at all four operations and what methods we know so far to answer questions and word problems.
During our Topic sessions we have focused on finding out all about Neil Armstrong! We have found out lots of facts about him to help us answer comprehension questions, used shaving foam and paint to create a marble effect to make planets and made our own straw rockets to see if we could fly as high as Neil Armstrong!
