This week- we gained an understanding of what it would have been like to spend time in the WW1 trenches. An important message needed to be delivered back to Company HQ trench...unfortunately, only 5 of the class managed to get to the front line trench and back again without getting 'shot'!
In English, we continue to study the 'highs' and 'lows' of Joey's war ...he is beginning to understand - as are we- how useless cavalry were against machine guns...
In Maths, we've been practising our methods of mental calculation and reminding ourselves just how important our times tables knowledge is.
We have also celebrated European Languages day this week when we answered the register; learned how to count; played 'Simon sagt' using basic classroom commands and began to learn how to talk about the weather...all in German!
