Well...We've had another very busy week in Mandela class. WarHorse is getting very exciting- Joey is gradually transforming from a farm horse to a war horse, although he's not enjoying it very much at times. We left the story on Friday with him having been shipped off to France and facing enemy guns for the first time. As you can imagine- such an exciting story is providing a great stimulus for our writing!
In Maths, we've been converting between different metric units, which means there have been lots of tricky conversions to remember.
Our Science learning is shown in this week's pictures. We are explaining how plants reproduce asexually. Quite a tricky concept to get our heads around. We thought about how strawberry plants produce runners and how potatoes sprout if left in the dark for too long- all part of asexual reproduction.
The children are also enjoying their P.E. sessions. Luckily, we were able to get outside on Friday to practise some Netball drills.
