W/C 12th March 2018
In English we have continued to look at Flood and writing a disaster story. We have looked at dialogue, personification, complex sentences and using synonyms. The children are really enjoying writing a disaster story and producing brilliant work.
For Maths, we started by solving addition and subtraction problems and looked at money. It was great to see the children using the different methods we have looked at to solve problems.
In Science, we continued to look at plants. We focused on knowing what part of a plant fruit and vegetables come from and how to classify them into groups. The children also had plasticine to try and make a detailed model of a fruit or vegetable.
It was also science week and the children loved all the activities we did. The children had great fun thinking about what food would be best to take on an Artic adventure and building bug hotels to take home to encourage wildlife.
See below some pictures from our week.
