Statutory Inspection of Anglican and Methodist School

SIAMS inspection focuses on the effect that the Christian ethos of the church school has on the children and young people who attend it. Inspectors seek answers to four key questions.

  • How well does the school, through its distinctive Christian character, meet the needs of all learners?
  • What is the impact of collective worship on the school community?
  • How effective is the Religious Education? (in VA schools -  not applicable to Southbroom St James Academy)
  • How effective are the leadership and management of the school as a church school?

In April 2016 we were inspected under the SIAMS framework. We were pleased that the inspector agreed with our self evaluation of our position at that time and that the progress we had made to date was recognised. Please download the full report below.
